Thiruvananthapuram: Head of Pinarayi Minister Vijayan attacked observations made by Comtroller and General Auditor (CAG) on the Kiifb function.

The minister’s chairman responds to the latest CAG report on Kerala’s finances who find serious constitutional problems in the functioning of Kiifb.
He spoke at the Chancellor’s award presentation held at Raj Bhavan in Thiruvananthapuram on Tuesday.
He said there were several attempts to denounce and lower the kiifb from various quarters.

We now reap the benefits of such a step.
We now have to use the Kiifb route to add to our higher education sector,” he said.
Kiifb resources are needed to improve faculty and infrastructure facilities such as labs and libraries in the higher education sector, he added.
Minister of Finance K n Balagopal also came out against CAG and said it created an unnecessary controversy against Kiifb.
“Whatever comes as a special report only queries submitted during the audit and Kiifb have given clarification.
There are no final reports received by the government.
If there is an anomaly in the Kiifb function, the government has no doubt in investigating it,” he said.
The Minister of Finance accused the CAG special audit report in an effort to invade controversy.
This effort is to create controversy based on reports that have not been submitted before the government so far.
The chairman of the minister and finance minister dropped hard against CAG when the opposition demanded an investigation into the findings carried out by CAG in the promise carried out in Kiifb and also in disbursement of salaries and benefits without government approval.
