Thane: Thane police on Friday enrolled a four case from a Param Jerik Singh officer along with former Pradeep Sharma meeting specialist, Deputy Commissioner Deepak Deepak and Gangster Ravi Pujari in complaints by bookies Ketan Tanna and Sonu Road that the police had extorted almost Rs 5grore from them on In 2018.
In all, 28 people, including eight police, had been ordered and charged in extortion, attacks, criminal intimidation and robbery under the IPC and ARM Law.
Other police named Assistant Commissioner NT Kadam, Inspector Rajkumar Kothmire, one assistant subspectant and two police officers.
