NEW DELHI: Minister of Union Piyush Goyal will replace Tharawa Chand Gehlot as the leader of a house in Rajya Sabha.
Goyal is the deputy leader when Gehlot, who has been appointed as Governor of Karnataka, is his leader.
Confirming the development, Parliament Minister Pralhad Joshi expanded greetings to Goyal.
“Congratulations to @piyushgoyal ji when appointed as the leader of the house in Rajya Sabha.
He has been entrusted by PM @Narendramodi ji with the main responsibility.

Goyal, Twice Rajya Sabha MP, is the Deputy Leader of NDA and also the Union minister in the cabinet.
He holds charges of various ministries, including trade and industry, food and consumer affairs, and textiles.
Before becoming Minister in 2014, Goyal was the treasurer of the party.
He was also engaged by BJP in poll management activities and to manage logistics during selection.
