Chandigarh: While the city has witnessed a quick gain in Covid Daily cases, hospitalization has begun to increase gradually.
Last month, there were 23 patients who recognized, while since December 25, receiving almost doubled.
1,812 Covid beds have been dedicated to third waves in the city.
During the first wave, there were 3,163 beds while for the second there were 3,740 beds.
The ventilator has increased to 228 out of 108 and 182 on the first and second waves.
For the third wave, the Ministry of Health has prepared 606 insulation beds for asymptomatic / mild cases.
“As many as 50 of these are functional and the rest will be activated at a short time.
The oxygen bed for moderate cases is 1,110.
A total of 113 oxygen beds can be converted in GMC, sector 32, and 20 in GMSH, sector 16, at short notice” Yashpal said Garg, UT.
There are 13 dedicated Covid health centers, which include six governments and seven private hospitals.
For severe cases, 223 beds are prepared as ICUs or high dependency units.
“There is enough stock of critical drugs identified by the central government available at GMCD and GMSH.
There are 18,756 injection of 100m remdesivir, 43,923 Dexamethasone injections, 4811 50mg amphoteric injection for mukormycosis other than other drugs approved by the government,” he said.
As per the estimated health department, the peak requirement of medical oxygen is 49.5 mt per day.
The production of existing medical oxygen is 53.8mt / day.
During the second wave, the consumption of daily oxygen was 48.3 kilograms liters.
Before the second wave, there was a PSA installed with a capacity of 1,600 LPM, while after the second wave, this capacity was increased to 2,050 LPM.
For the third wave, it has been proposed to increase the capacity to 224 LPM.
