PJK: Price backup falls 50% for commercial units

Chandigarh: After getting a nod from the Board of Directors, CHB has reduced the reserve price of 14 corner commercial units (based on leanholds) in Manimajra and Sector 61 more than 50%.
The Board has approved the reduction in reserve prices and changes in the calculation method.
For example, the price of the corner of the corner room in the Sector 61, Kajheri, has decreased from Rs 1.14 Crore to Rs 56.19 Lakh, a decrease of 50.71%.
Likewise, the price of the backup corner booth in Manimajra has dropped from Rs 97.99 Lakh to Rs 46.72 Lakh, a reduction of 52.32%.
The Board recently booked an e-tender of 163 Leashold properties, including commercial and residential, and 28 units of freehold housing.
Yashpal Garg Chief Executive Officer (CEO) said while calculating the reserve price, officials change the calculation method for the corner shop with both sides of the veranda.
After the calculation, the effective reduction is Rs 40 Lakh to Rs 60 Lakh, which is more than 50%, he said.
Minutes of the September 8 Meeting, which was approved by UT Adviser Dharam Pal who was also CHB Chairman, read, “The Board decided to stop the practice of the inclusion for both sides of the veranda while repairing commercial backup prices angle unit.

The property that has been placed on e-tenders includes 28 housing units in Freehold, 31 housing units on infrastructure and 132 commercial units on rent.
The eligible bidder can bid them from 3:00 p.m.
on September 15 at 10:00 on October 8 for 191 properties to be opened at 10:15 a.m.
on October 8 rentals.
It has invited e-tender for sales of 149 commercial and 33 housing units on infrastructure.
Of the 149 commercial units, it can only sell two.
The reserve price of two commercial units is Rs 1.06 Crore and they sell for RS 1.09 Crore.
Of the 33 housing units, only two can be sold.
The price of reserves of these units is Rs 89.83 Lakh and the highest bid received is Rs 90.85 Lakh.
