PJK: Stop for ‘Bidis’, Robbed in Gunpoint

Chandigarh: Two brothers returned from the train station after dropping a relative allegedly robbed in part of their salary in Gunpoint near the Point Light Kalibari in sector 47 on Tuesday.
Vijay Kumar (23) and his brother Sarvesh (21), both inhabitants of Phase VII, Mohali, were employed at the Car Parts factory in Mohali.
They rented a car from the train station to Light Kalibari pointing at around 5 in the morning.
Both walked to Mohali when three men on a motorcycle stopped in front of them and demanded ‘bidis’ from Sarvesh.
When he told them that he did not smoke, one of the accusers allegedly appointed a gun on his chest and the others put a knife into the vijay throat.
The third defendant issued Rs 6,000 and Rs 5,050 from their pockets.
The brothers suspected of being the defendant also took their cellphone but returned it before escaping.
They said the defendant was armed with an iron rod too.
All the defendants put on a mask but not a helmet.
When Vijay called 112, PCR vehicles, the crime and police branch team from sector 31 reached the place.
A registered case.
