PJK: The department shows interest in upscale flats in the park

Chandigarh: While the Chandigarh (CHB) housing board has not received a down payment from Punjab, Haryana and PGI for the upper class flat for government officials in Rajiv Gandhi Chandigarh Technology Park (TI Park), the Income Tax Department has expressed interest in the flat for their officials.
A Senior Chb official said they had received a letter from the Income Tax Department, looking for details related to Flat, price and payment mode.
He added that they would provide details to the earliest department.
Previously, the Board had written to Punjab, Haryana and PGI but no one filed down a 25% down payment.
Although Punjab and PGI provide their affirmation, they still have not made a deposit.
The source said the high cost of the tower that had a flat housing was a possible reason.
The housing council is expected to build 10 towers with 28 flats each has a base price of Rs 2 Crore for each flat.
All three institutions are expected to pay Hospital 66 Crore each for their flats.
This project will appear at 6.73 hectares of land.
In June, CHB officials delivered a presentation at Haryana Assembly for Speakers Gian Chand Gupta, Head of Secretary of Viji Vardhan and Engineering Department officials.
The source said that Haryana now considered the construction of flats in Panchkula.
CHB plans to build luxury flats for officials and MLAS Punjab and Haryana and for PGI and Chandigarh administration.
To start construction, CHB wrote to Punjab, Haryana and PGI last year to release their part of a 25% payment.
In September 2019, CHB was looking for opinions from both governments.
Besides Punjab and Haryana, PGI also stated the willingness to buy a flat.
