New Delhi: The Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) has kidnapped a 17-year-old boy from within the Indian region in the District of Arunachal Pradesh, said MP Tapir Gao on Wednesday.
Gao said the teenager, identified as Miram Taron, was kidnapped by PLA from the Lungta Jor area under Siyungla on Tuesday.
Taron’s friend Johny Yaiyying, who managed to escape, told the authorities about the kidnapping by PLA, Gao told PTI by telephone from Ziro, a lower sub-district head office.
Both are local hunters and belong to the village of Zido.
MP said the incident occurred near the place where the Tsangpo River entered India in Arunachal Pradesh.
Tsangpo was referred to as the afternoon at Arunachal Pradesh and Brahmaputra in Assam.

Gao also said that he had informed the Minister of State for home 2020, PLA had kidnapped five young men from the district Subansiri over Arunachal Pradesh and released it after about a week.

India shared the line of 3,400 km-length actual control (LAC) with China from Ladakh to Arunachal Pradesh.
