Ghaziabad: The Ministry of Health is preparing a micro plan so that Covid patients can get preliminary care and treatment near their homes and they do not have to rush to the hospital.
Assistance will be sought from the Indian Medical Association (IMA) to increase the number of ICU beds and doctors for children in a government hospital, officials said.
The head of the newly appointed medical officer, Dr.
Bhavtosh Shankhdhar, said he was working on the plan.
“A patient who needs oxygen supply will be brought to the local public health center (CHC) or primary health center (PHC) first.
This will reduce the burden at the main Covid hospital and in the case, the patient’s condition deteriorates, the person will soon be home Pain.
Every patient will be monitored continuously through the control room, “he said.
Shankhdhar added that all CHC and PHC in all districts were being developed as a primary center for Covid treatment and they have been given beds and oxygen facilities.
Apart from this, the oxygen concentrator was established in rural PHCs.
Settings have been made to provide critical care to children if needed.
The beds for children have also been ordered at all CHCS and PHC.
In addition, the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (Picus) has been prepared in three Covid main hospitals from the district.
At present, there are around 100 trigger beds in Ghaziabad.
With the help of IMA, specialist doctors will be called to treat children in government hospitals, such as and when needed.
CMO said at this time, there was no shortage of covid drugs in the district.
