Plan to lift the curfew of five Assam Regency Hit hardest by Covid-19

Jorthat: With an increase in Covid situations, the government plans to attract curvacies from five total detention districts Jorhat, Golaghat, Sonitpur, Lakhimpur and Biswanath from Monday.
District administrative officials said they observed signs of an increase in the last few days and if they continued to increase, the sidewalk could be relaxed immediately.
Minister of Himanta Minister Buswa Sarma said the government would try to lift the curfew of five districts soon.
“We have Covid norms that are relaxed in the state and are now trying to lift the curfew of five districts from Monday,” Sarma said.
Jorhat, Golaghat, Sonitpur, Lakhimpur and Biswanath were declared total detention zone for seven days since July 20 for the second time in a row.
Previously, the government has declared five of these districts, along with two others – Goalpara and Morigaon – as the total detention zone on July 7.
The government also imposed 24-hourfmts in this district and the administration of each district issued a separate SOP to stem the spread of Covid-19.
Deputy Commissioner Jorhat Ashok Kumar Barman said from July 20 to 23, the number of positive cases in the district was 118, 117,112 and 94.
In the last four days, eight people expired because Covid-19 in Jorhat.
“In the last 24 hours, the level of participants in Jorhat has dropped to 1.62 percent.
According to official estimates, the number of positive cases in Jorhat is showing a downward trend and we hope that the situation will soon improve,” Barman said.
Biswanath Regency did not report a single Covid death in the last four days.
Of the July 20, the total number of Covid positive cases reported in the district of 70, 45, 40 and 39, and 39.
The district’s position in the district was 1.15 percent in the last 24 hours.
In the Golaghat district, the number of positive Covid cases from July 20 was 165, 147, 177 and 128.
eight people died of this disease in Golaghat in the last four days.
Except for July 22, the number of positive cases in Golaghat also showed a downward trend.
Deputy Golaghat Commissioner Mrigesh Narayan Barua said, “In the last 24 hours, the total level of participants fell to 1.8 percent.
After a long level of participants in Golaghat have dropped to less than 2 percent a day.” Last week it touched 5-6 percent.
In the Sonitpur District, four people have died of Covid since July 20.
An administrative district official said, “In the last six days, the level of prisoners in Sonitpur less than 1 percent and in the last 24 hours was recorded as 0.84 per cent.
Sen.” In the Lakhimpur District, two people died of Covid-19 in the last four days.
In the last 24 hours, the level of participation in the district was 0.84 percent.
