Plans Check Floods for Sheetla Mata Road: Divert water into the pool

Gurgaon: To prevent waterlogging on Sheetla Matiran road, the corporation of Gurgaon City (MCG) plans to divert rainwater into a large natural pool in the temple.
Last week, the road was flooded with rain and was one of the worst affected areas with deep water on stretching.
“On Tuesday, there are small water holes in places isolated on the Sheetla eye road.
We use pump-cum-suction tanks to spend water.
The situation is controlled,” said Tushar Yadav, MCG executive engineer.
The plan, accoriding to MCG officials, is that two high-capacity motors will be used to divert water into the pool.
“I, together with my team, went to visit Sheetla’s eyes because the area was flooded during the rain continuously.
Priest of the Temple told us about a large pool, which was spread in half the hectare of land.
We visited the site and decided that two pumps High power can be deployed to pump water from the road to this pool.
This pool is large and can accommodate water even if it rains for three consecutive days, “said Jitender Garg, Commissioner with MCG, Zone 2.” Because it is a natural pool, water It will also permeate and help in refilling groundwater.
In addition, we will also make provisions to take advantage of this water supply for various purposes, “Garg added.
In a meeting was held earlier this week, MCG officials and board members discussed plans to make these holes or small pools divert water so that they did not accumulate on the site of water vulnerable.
The idea came after one of the council members showed that the golf course was not affected by many of the rainfall on July 19 because the holes were built there and the rivers naturally divert water and prevent moving water.
MCG also plans to check the feasibility of making small ponds or holes and tributaries across the prone-waterlogging area in the city.
Joint commissioners say that visits to important sites from the area below the 2-corner zone will be carried out and the solution according to the regional topography will be given so that the city does not witness the problem of water when it rains.
