Abhas partners from Chowbagha Road were taken to Ich on June 18 and he was detected with acute liver failure which in turn caused a kidney injury.
Even when the doctor started treatment, the boy went to a coma heart because of high ammonia in his blood caused by liver failure.

But liver transplantation in children and that too, in the case of acute liver failure cannot be easily done in our country.
Also, parents cannot afford expensive transplant procedures, so we try the method that is rarely used for Save the boy, “said Ich Associate Professor Prabhas Predit Giri.
The boy wears ventilation and fresh plasma units given to him in three cycles on three consecutive days to eliminate ammonia that have shot up to around 500 and saves the brain from toxic side effects.
“The patient has an acute kidney injury and has a very high creatinine level and he is very sick to tolerate normal dialysis.
The sledding procedure is intended for children where we use special machines,” said Pediatric Nephrology Rajiv Sinha.
Giri said that the heart of children suffering from acute liver failure because hepatitis A infection has the potential for spontaneous regeneration.
But in most cases the patient died before the recovery was due to high bleeding and ammonia, if there was no transplant that could be done.
“Some medical papers also support high-volume plasma exchanges have some of the nature of the liver regeneration.
We tried this and it worked,” Giri said, pediatric intensive.
The patient’s condition began to rise slowly after procurement and he was dismissed from the hospital two days ago.
“My child has been coma for 14 days.
