Ahmedabad: Finance Minister Union Nirmala Sitharaman said on Saturday stating that greater coordination in certain aspects was needed among the Stock Exchange Authorities and among various regulators for the development of the gift city in Gandhinagar in the future.
“We realize that there are some things where greater coordination is needed among the authorities who deal with the stock market and also among regulators,” said Minister of Finance after his first visit to the gift city, which is one of the prime minister’s pet projects Modi.
Clarifying that these aspects are not a big problem, he added, “It is possible to sit around the table and sort everything.
It is the understanding we have (today).” He suggested that the Gujarat government must be involved with a leading startup, not only those included in the Fintech room, from Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Gurgaon, among others and bring them to the gift city, which will help create an ecosystem for global financial hubs in the city gift.
