Mumbai: Bombay High Court on Thursday rejected the election petition submitted by the leader of Congress Naseem Khan who challenged the victory of Dilip Lande Shiv Sena as a member of the Chandival Assembly Constituency in 2019.
HC Judgment by Justice SK Shinde said, “Only ‘opportunities’ or ‘possibilities’ Voters influenced by illegal campaigns will not form important facts, to argue that illegal campaigns materially affect the election results from returned candidates (winning).
” Khan, represented by the senior advice of Godish Godbole, has alleged that Lande has carried out corrupt practices and election violations.
He suspected Lande had circulated his video on WhatsApp shows Khan to be anti-national.
Khan also accused the petition that the 48 hours before the date was repaired for the election.
Along with the head of the Uddhav Thackeray and Anil Puriab party, campaigned in Chandivalali and thus committing election violations.
Lande, through his advice Shardul Singh was looking for rejection of the petition based on “alleged”.
He submitted an application last year by saying the petition did not have a ‘material fact’ and thus can be dismissed.
Justice Sandeep Shinde argues that Khan “failed to beg for material facts” and therefore, the request was rejected.

Khan accused the model and violation of the model Code of behavior by Lande.
But HC said his petition only revealed “possible views” but not an alleged violation of victory Stating that 409 people chose Lande because of alleged violations, “HC reasoned.
