New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Monday agreed to examine the request looking for his direction to hold online social media so as not to allow its platform to spread hatred on communal lines and target religions such as “Islamofobic” posted and distributed after the Jamaat Tabligh congregation in Nizamuddin last year.
Although the chairman of Justice NV Ramana and justice because Bopanna was reluctant to entertain the petition submitted by lawyers who practiced said that the government had brought the rules of new information technology intended to regulate the social media and the OTT platform, he posted hearing next week.
After the applicant accused the new rules on the problem raised by him and it was not talking about religion, the bench asked the Khaja Aijazuddin applicant to come ready after checking the rules and posting the trial to take a call on whether it had to intervene in this case.
Aijazuddin approached the Apex Court after the High Court of the Telengana refused to comfort his request and asked him to approach SC.
Referring to an unpleasant post including broadly circulated tagars and was distributed last year to blame one religion for the spread of Coronavirus, he said that the tags such as #islamcoronavirusjihad, #coronajihad, #tablighijamat and so on with pandemic related to pandemics.
The bench initially said that the applicant could approach the government and made a representation to increase the problem but Aijazuddin begged that his petition was at least marked by a petition batch that was delayed in the new rules.
The court gave him the opportunity to ensure that IT rules do not cover social media problems that abuse to spread religious hatred and suspend the trial.
