Plot to Kin Martyr Hang Fire, Fumes Telangana HC

Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court on Monday took the income department for the task for failing to trigger a plot, as promised by the State Government 13 years ago, to the widow of an IFS officer who was killed in a terror attack at the Indian Embassy at Kabul Embassy in July 2008 .
The court warned the main secretary of the income department that he had to face serious consequences if the plot was not transferred in the next three weeks.
Judge Chairman Hima Kohli and Justice B Vijaysen Reddy changed the letter written by Vapapalli Malathi Rao, whose husband Venkateswara Rao, an IFS officer, lost his life in a terrorist attack at the Embassy in Kabul in July 2008.
The state government, in 2008, has been Promising Malathi that it will distribute 475 square meters of land in the hills of Yobilee and even issue going to this effect.
Thirteen years later, the government has not distributed the promised land.
When Malathi wrote a letter to the High Court, the court turned it into a petition and requested a response from the country.
Advisor Revenue Department C V Bhaskar Reddy told the court that even though a Go was issued, they later found that only 411 square meters of land were available in the Bharani layout where the plot was located.
The bench said it was embarrassing that the state could not fulfill his promise even after 13 years.
“Why did you get out Gos when you didn’t apply it”, the bench drank.
Take objections with state advice that says they will consider a new representation, the bench said you made a widow run from the pillar to post for the past 13 years.
“Now he will stop asking for you.
He won’t run around you again.
Now you run away.
Go to him, ask him and give him the plot,” Bench said.
Don’t forget that you are dealing with someone whose husband loses his life while in the nation’s service and is annumously respected with Chakra Keerthi, said Bench.
“Let your main secretary submit a written statement about why a few meters’ shortcomings occur.
When did this happen? When did GO given, why did the authority sleep more than this problem for years, submitting a written statement on July 27,” Bench said.
