New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi, while interacting with floor leaders on Tuesday about Covid management, urging countries to develop a district level vaccination strategy even when he expressed concern that a large number of health workers and front lines were not vaccinated.
, “We need to plan correctly drive vaccination at the district level,” said PM.
Discussion, where leaders were presented by the Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan, saw Modi making detailed intervention.
Interestingly enough, the meeting was held as opposition leader objections to the proposal for PM to direct members of parliament in the Annexe parliament.
PM said, “This is a matter of concern that around a large number of health workers and front-line workers have not received a vaccine even after 6 months since the drive starts.
The state needs to be more proactive in this matter.” Despite several political parties including Congress, the Samajwadi Party, AAP, AP Dal, RJD and left, skipped the meeting, others like DMK, Shiv Sena and TMC present.
He also talked about efforts made to ensure one oxygen plant in each district throughout the country.
