Lucknow: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday called on the mission of a high-powered police technology under the Minister of Internal Affairs Amit Shah to adopt future technology for the requirements of grassroots.
Speaking at the Valediktori ceremony of the Annual Conference of the DGP-IGP three days here, PM quoted the importance of technology in the lives of the general public, providing examples of Cowin, Permata and UPI.
He suggested an analysis of all incidents related to the police and developed a case study, to make it an institutionalized learning mechanism.
He also appreciated the positive change in the police attitude towards the general public, especially in the post-covid world-19.
He also suggested the use of positive drone technology for the benefit of the people.
PM emphasized the review of the concept of intelligent policing introduced in 2014 and suggested the development of road maps for the same sustainable transformation and institutionalization in police forces.
To overcome several routine challenges faced by the police, he urged them to involve highly qualified youths to find technology solutions through Hackathon.
He praised the hybrid conference format because it allowed free flow information between various rankings.
He suggested the development of inter-operating technology that would benefit police forces throughout the country.
Spending two consecutive days at the conference, PM also participated in discussions and gave valuable advice.
In run-up to the conference, various DGP core groups were formed to hold discussions about the main aspects of national security such as prison reform, terrorism, left-wing extremism, cyber crime, narcotics trade, NGO funding, related problem drone, the development of the border village, said Police source.
PM also gave a presidential police medal for leading service to IB personnel.
For the first time, according to PM direction, IPS officers from various countries have submitted articles on contemporary security issues, which add more value to the conference.
PM scheduled to leave for Delhi at 16:05, too much for almost an hour and left for the Amausi airport at 5 pm.
The conference scattered for three days was attended by 62 officers from the rank of DGPS, and the head of the central armed police forces in Lucknow.
More than 400 ranks of various rankings also attended conferences almost from IB offices throughout the country.
