Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday led a high-level meeting to review the situation related to Covid-19 and vaccination encouragement in the country, said government sources.
The meeting came a day after Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan said India was still experiencing the second wave of Covid-19 and not over.
He said 35 districts still reported a weekly covid front rate of more than 10 percent while between five to 10 percent in 30 districts.
More than half of the population of Indian adults have received at least one dose of anti-Koronavirus vaccine while 18 percent have got photos, the United States said on Thursday because the total number of Jabs managed in the country crossed 72 crores.
