CALANGUTE: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to inaugurate the ‘Freedom Struggle Museum’ in Fort Aguada on December 19, becoming the 60th liberation day of Goa, Port Minister Michael Lobo recently.
Located in the former central prison place in the fort, it has been restored and rebuilt at a cost of Rs 25 Crore under the scheme of ‘Swadesh Darshan’ the central government.
The museum, but is officially named, will show off the life of the freedom and the movement movement.
“This is a national historical interests monument.
Life and struggle for the freedom of the Goa and Indian freedom fighters who fight against the British government and imprisoned here will be described,” Lobo said.
