PM Kashi Day Out: Being in Ganga, chatting with workers

Varanasi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday took a ritualistic sauce on the Holy River before going to inaugurate the RS 900-Crore Kashi Vishwanath Dham (KVD), the famous Kashi Vishwanath temple housing in the world.
Maintaining traditions, the ancient city welcomes PM with a knock on ‘Damru’, God Shiva’s favorite musical instrument, on his arrival in Dham.
PM was also seen in a complete banarasi atmosphere when he took Sacred Saudak in Ganga in Lalita Ghat before offering prayers at Kashi Vishwanath Temple which described one of 12 Jyotirlingas.
Dressed in turmeric with a long essay of ‘Rudraksha’ and ‘Kalash’ (Pan Air) in his hand, he went to the river and offered prayers to Maa Ganga.
After taking the gangajal from Lalita Ghat, one of the entry points of KVD, PM in traditional clothing – Dhoti-kurta and Dupatta – moved to Kashi Vishwanath temple, where he did shivarchan with maximum devotion.
He also planted trees on the spot after offering prayer.
The spotlight of the inauguration of PM Modi from Kashi Vishwanath Dham Corridorthe PM which was changed also met with workers involved in the construction of KVD.
He showered the flowers on them and sat on the ground for shooting.
Even though there was a chair for him, he himself nurtured and sat with workers.
He also interacts with some of them.
Then, PM moved to a spacious chowk mandir, where the forecasters from all over the country and other invited guests were waiting for him.
Before the opening of KVD, a short film based on the history of Kashi Vishwanath was played.
The event was also attended by the Head of BJP J P Nadda, Governor Anandiben Patel, Chair of Yogi Adityanath, Deputy CMS Keshav Prasad Maurya and Dinesh Sharma, among others.

The city, who has witnessed the West Shiv procession for several days, also celebrated ‘Shiv Diwali’ on Monday by illuminating Lakh ‘Diyas’ on the banks of the river.
