New Delhi / Dhaka: India on Thursday celebrated the 50-year anniversary of his victory over Pakistan in the 1971 War which caused the brace of the South Asian political map and ended terrible violence released by Pakistani soldiers on millions of Bangladeshi.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the state in paying tribute to the courage and sacrifice of the Freedom of Bangladesh and the Indian Armed Forces at the 50th anniversary of the chance of ‘Vijay Diawas’.
RAM President Nath Kovind attended the victory day parade in Dhaka as a “honorary guest”, in reflection connected to India with the people of Bangladesh and reaffirming the strong bond of New Delhi with the country.
A strong tri-service contingent 122 members from India also participated in the great parade watched by President Bangladesh M Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and other senior military and civil leaders.
Overcoming the celebration of the day’s victory in Dhaka, President Kovind said that the 1971 struggle for freedom had a special place in the hearts of every Indian.
