PM meets PE-VCS, talking about the ease of Biz, Reformation

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi met the highest leader of the private industry and the Venture Capitalist industry on Friday to discuss topics such as the ease of doing business, improving reform and attracting capital.
The interaction took place at the Prime Minister’s residence in the capital.
It was attended by several senior executives, including Prashant Prakash from Accel, Rajan Anandan from Sequoia, Gopal Srinivasan from Capitals TVS, Renuka Ramnath from Multiple, Amit Dalmia from Blackstone and Munish Verma from Softbank.
“If you return 10 years, we don’t have Unicorn.
This year, at the end of 2021, we will have more than 70 unicorns.
Even this year, we have doubled the unicorn number,” said Sequoia India MD Anandan.
“Ten years ago, we had less than a billion dollars to start every year.
This year, we will have more than $ 30 billion.
And I praise most of the extraordinary focus of our PM and our government at startup.
The actual Startup Indian movement began to accelerate in 2015.
“The participants also talked about the potential for entrepreneurship, and how it could be used for Startup India to achieve a global scale.
While Prakash Acel highlighted opportunities at Agri Startups, Anandan suggested making Indian global hubs in education by utilizing technology.
“The interaction we have with PM was amazing because of his intention he listened to every single input and the recommendations of the people in the meeting were very intentional and very clear that major changes would come in India,” said General Atlantic’s MD and Head of Business in India Sandeep up.
Shantanu Nalavadi Readurgent India praised the reforms carried out.
