New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday announced a national hydrogen mission with the aim of making India Hub for the production and export of green hydrogen.
Overcoming Nation on the 75th Independence Day, the Prime Minister took an appointment to make Indian energy independent before completing 100 years of independence.
He acknowledged that India was not independent energy and spent more than Rs 12 lakh crores every year for energy needs.
“For Indian progress, it is necessary for India to be an independent energy to make Aatmannirbhar Bharat.
That is why today India must make a resolution that will make Indian energy independent before 100 years of independence,” said PM Modi.
“Whatever the work done by India at this time, the biggest goal, which will give India a quantum leap, is the green hydrogen field.
I announce the national hydrogen mission today in the light of Tricolor,” he added.
He also noted that Indian vehicle memo policies will play an important role in the achievement of this environmental security.
“Among the economic G-20, India is one of the few that drove to the purpose of their climate protection.
Our vision of plastic free India can only be made right if we stop using single plastic use fully,” he added.
