PM Modi Asks Religious Figures, Communities to Help Overcome Vaccines

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday interacts with representatives of religious and social organizations to discuss Covid situations and advise them to work with the government to spread awareness about vaccines and overcome vaccine doubts.
He also asked the leaders to be part of a 75-year independence celebration and confirmed that “we must work to unite all the length and extent of the nation through ‘Bharat Jodo aandolan (Indian Unite Movement)’, and show off the true spirit of ‘Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat ‘”.
In his interaction through video conferencing, Modi said the deliberation was another example of the community and the government that worked together for the benefit of the state.
He appreciated the work carried out by these organizations to meet the challenges caused by Covid-19, said the statement of the Prime Minister’s office (PMO).
During the interaction, Modi said that assistance provided to people during the pandemic surpassed the consideration of caste or religious and was a shining example of ‘Bharat-Eknishha Prasih’.
Throughout the country, temples, mosques, churches, and gurdwaras doubled as hospitals and center isolation, while also helping in need of getting food and medicine, he said.
The Prime Minister discussed the quick launch of vaccination drives in this country, adding that the Sabko vaccine campaign, Muft vaccine was like a shield in the war against Covid, according to PMO.
He advised religious and community leaders to join the government’s efforts by helping to spread awareness about vaccination and help fight rumors and confusion about vaccines, PMO said.
Modi asked them to work with the government, especially in areas where there was a high vaccine doubt.
It will walk away in helping health workers reach every citizen, he said.
The Prime Minister also asked leaders to be part of the 75-year independence celebration and ensure that everyone became part of ‘Azaadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav’.
“On this occasion, we must work to unite all the length and extent of the nation through ‘Bharat Jodo aandolan’, and show off the true spirit of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’,” said Modi, according to the statement.
Interaction was attended by Salim engineers, Convenor, Kendriya Dharmik Jan Morcha and Vice President, Hind Jamaat-e-Islami; Maha Rishi Peethadheeshwar Goswami Sushil Maharaj, National Convention, Bharatiya Sarv Dharam Sansad, Uttar Pradesh; Swami Omkarand Saraswati, Pearhadheeshwar, Omkar Dhaam, New Delhi; Singh Sahib Giani Ranjit Singh, Head of Granthi, Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, New Delhi; M D Thomas, Founder Director, Harmony & Peace Study Institute, New Delhi; And Swami Veer Singh Hitkari, President, All Indian Ravidasiya Dharam Poleshan.
Swami Sampat Kumar, Galta Peeth, Jaipur; Acharya Vivek Muni, President, International Mahavir Jain Mission, New Delhi; A K Merchant, National Guardian & Secretary, Lotus Temple and Indian Baha’i Community, New Delhi; Swami Shantatmanand, President, Ramakrishna Mission, New Delhi; And Sister B K Asha, Om Shanti Retreat Center, Haryana, also participated in interactions.
The leaders would like to thank the Prime Minister to regulate the interaction and praise his decisive leadership in the war against a pandemic, PMO said.
They talked about exemplary work carried out by various religious and social organizations to overcome the challenges posed by Covid, he said.
They voiced their support for the realization of the awareness of the ongoing vaccination drive and gave their ideas and suggestions to prevent the third wave, the statement said.
