New Delhi: After the central government announced a revised guideline for MSMEs with the inclusion of retail and wholesale trade as MSMEs, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday called it a “landmark” step and said that this step will help improve the trader’s business and will also give them various Benefits.
“Our government has taken landmark steps including retail and wholesale trade as MSMEs.
This will help crores traders we get more easily finances, various other benefits and also help improve their business.
We are committed to empowering our traders,” PM Modi Tweeted.
The MSME Union Minister and Jalan Raya Nitin Gadkari on Friday announced the revised guidelines for MSMEs with the inclusion of retail trade and wholesalers as MSMEs.
In a tweet, he said under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi, the center is committed to strengthening MSMEs and making it machines for economic growth.
Gadkari said the revised guidelines would benefit 2.5 crore retail and wholesale traders.
He said retail trade and wholesalers were abandoned from Ambit MSMEs, now under revised guidelines, retail and wholesale trade will also benefit from priority sector loans under the RBI guidelines.
With revised guidelines, retail and wholesale trade will be allowed to register on the UDYAM registration portal.
