New Delhi: On the occasion of the 75th Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday lifted the national flag and conveyed customary addresses to the nation from the Red Fortress in New Delhi.
Before that he examined the honorary guard, which was positioned directly in front of the National Flag across a ditch under the fort.

The Prime Minister has launched ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ from Sabarmati Ashramat Ahmedabad in Gujarat in March 2021 to celebrate 75 years of Indian independence.
The celebration will continue until August 15, 2023.
Meanwhile, security arrangements have been tightened in the national capital for the 75th Independence Day celebration on Sundays.
Control-drone technology has been deployed in sensitive areas in the national capital to thwart any unwanted incidents.
Meanwhile, farmers have proposed a tractor parade in the National Capital on Independence Day against the three agricultural laws introduced by the Central Government last year.
Speaking to Ani, a farmer said, “About 5,000 vehicles and 20,000 farmers will take part in the parade on Sunday.
We are ready to protest.
Our protest against three agricultural laws.
