PM Modi congratulates Iran’s Recently elected president Ebrahim Raisi

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday congratulated Iran’s recently elected president Ebrahim Raisi, also stated he looked forward to working together with him to further fortify the connections between India and Iran.
Iran’s hard-line judiciary leader gained a landslide victory on Saturday at the nation’s presidential elections, a vote which both steered the ultimate leader’s protege to Tehran’s greatest civilian standing and also watched the lowest turnout at the Islamic Republic’s history.
At an tweet, Modi said,”Congratulations to His Excellency Ebrahim Raisi in his election as President of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
I anticipate working with him to strengthen the ties between India and Iran.”
