Kolkata: Prime Minister Narendra Modi called Bengala Bengal Bengala Minister Banerjee on Wednesday and took stock of flood situations in the state, said senior state government officials.
The Prime Minister ensured Banerjee from all central assistance to mitigate the flood situation, he said.
The minister’s chairman, who visited Udaynarayanpur who was flooded in the Howrah District, was studied to tell the Prime Minister that his government would send a report to PMO in the flood situation, and damage caused by flood after completing the survey, the official said.
At least 15 people were killed and nearly 3 lakh were transferred as a large part of six countries that had been flooded with heavy rain and water release by Damodar Valley Corporation and Dururpur Barrage.
