New Delhi: The Union Minister of State for the defense of Ajay Bhatt said on Tuesday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi ensured that all Indian citizens were safely brought back to the country from War-torn Afghanistan after takeover by the Taliban.
The minister said that the evacuation process would continue until all citizens and “victims” were successfully brought back from Afghanistan.
A total of 78 people, including children, arrived from Afghanistan on Tuesday late at night.
Evauees reached Indira International Airport Gandhi Delhi on Monday night on the Indian Air Force flight.
On Monday, 146 passengers landed in Delhi from Afghanistan.
India has been allowed to operate two flights per day from Kabul to evacuate its citizens stranded in Afghanistan, government sources told Ani.
The permit was given by the Organizational Forces of the American and North Atlantic Agreement, which had controlled the operation of Hamid Karzai International Airport after the Afghan capital fell to the Taliban on August 15.

The court had ordered the Union Minister to attend the Ratnagiri police station for the investigation on August 31 and September 13.
