New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday held a meeting with district judges in more than 40 districts that had low Covid-19 vaccination coverage.
Meeting, held through video conferencing, including districts with coverage of less than 50 percent of the first dose and low coverage of the second dose of vaccines.
40 districts are spread in Jharkhand, Manipur, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Maharashtra and Meghalaya, among other countries, according to the Prime Minister’s office.
Prime Minister Modi held a meeting immediately after returning from abroad after attending the G20 and COP26 meeting.
Highlighting the need to accelerate the speed and coverage of vaccination, the Minister of Health of Mansukh Mandaviya recently said that there were more than 10.34 crores in the country which had not taken the second dose of the vaccine after the expiration of the specified interval.
