Gorakhpur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday dedicated to a three-mega state project, including AIIMS and main fertilizer plants, at Uttar Pradesh North Minister of Yogi Adtityath’s Home Gorakhpur.
Other projects inaugurated are the regional medical research center of the Indian Medical Research Council (ICMR).
Three large ticket projects worth more than Rs 9,600 Crore.
The newly built fertilizer plant will be operated by Hindustan Urvarak Rasayan Limited (HURL).
Gorakhpur AIims, built at a cost of 1,011 crore Rs, will benefit not only people in East Pradesh but also the big population of Bihar, Jharkhand and Nepal with world-class health facilities, officials said.
Likewise, the regional medical research center regulated at the cost of Hospital 36 Crore will facilitate tests and research on transmitted diseases through vectors, he added.
A high-tech lab will reduce the dependence of areas in big cities for tests related to diseases transmitted by vectors.
The inauguration of the three large projects came only a few months before the Uttar Pradesh Assembly poll.
