There was no official confirmation at the moment but Ani had learned that preparation for visits was taking place.
A source who is familiar with developments said the schedule has not been resolved and is at the premature stage.
According to the tentative plan, the expected date for PM Modi’s visit to the US currently being done is September 23-24.
Last PM Modi visited the US in 2019.
During that time, he and then President Donald Trump discussed a large diaspora event in Houston.
After Washington, PM Modi will visit New York to attend the annual United Nations General Assembly session.
India is a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council and the presidency for the month has just ended.
Afghanistan, who has been plunged into the crisis after the Taliban takeover, will be a key topic in Unga this time.
