PM Modi is likely to visit us later this month, there is no official word about it

New Delhi / Washington: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to visit the United States at the end of September.
There was no official confirmation at the moment but Ani had learned that preparation for visits was taking place.
A source who is familiar with developments said the schedule has not been resolved and is at the premature stage.
According to the tentative plan, the expected date for PM Modi’s visit to the US currently being done is September 23-24.
Last PM Modi visited the US in 2019.
During that time, he and then President Donald Trump discussed a large diaspora event in Houston.
After Washington, PM Modi will visit New York to attend the annual United Nations General Assembly session.
India is a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council and the presidency for the month has just ended.
Afghanistan, who has been plunged into the crisis after the Taliban takeover, will be a key topic in Unga this time.
It is based that UGA will be in this year’s hybrid format.
However, there was no official confirmation from the visit so far, if it was realized, it would be the first physical visit of PM Modi and the first direct meeting with US President Joe Biden.
This will be his first official visit to the US since President Joe Biden served in January this year.
PM Modi and Biden have met virtually at various multilateral meetings such as Quad and G7 meetings.
In Washington, while talking to reporters, Shringla’s foreign secretary showed that there was a possibility of a quad meeting.
“I mean, look, I can’t comment on that, but the fact is that if there is a peak, the prime minister has said that he will, he will be happy to attend the summit.
I think other leaders have also said that they will be ready so That’s all questions, you know, brings together leaders and advances, “he said.
“If the leaders come they will come because of this (quad) meeting, as you know, this time is a cut version, this is a hybrid version.
Very few heads of state and the government will actually attend.
So, the meeting presents personally.
It’s not a big priority.
But again, I mean, this is a liquid situation so let’s see how it happens, “he added.
Political instability in Japan has also thrown a shadow at the proposed quad meeting.
Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga said he would not run for the party’s re-election as the leader of this month.
In particular, Secretary of State Minister Shringla, who was in Washington, had held a discussion with several Biden Administrative Officials, including the Secretary of the State Antony Blinken and Deputy Secretary Wendy Sherman.
The Minister of External Affairs Jaisankar also held a series of telephone conversations with his colleague Blinken.
The US has supported India during the evacuation of its citizens after Kabul fell to the Taliban on August 15, Washington also offered assistance during the second wave of Covid-19 earlier this year.
