PM modi leaves for home after concluding the climate summit

Glasgow: India not only exceeded Paris’s commitment but now also set an ambitious agenda for the next 50 years, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday after he took part in two intense discussions with world leaders on the climate summit in the future of the planet.
Prime Minister Modi said this in a tweet while leaving for home after concluding the official five-day visit to Rome and Glasgow where he attended the G-20 Summit and the UN COP26 climate change conference.
“Depart from Glasgow after two intense discussions about the future of our planet.
India not only exceeds Paris’s commitment but now also sets an ambitious agenda for the next 50 years,” Modi Tweeted.
“It’s nice to see a lot of old friends directly after a long time, and meet some new ones.
I thank our hosts @borisjohnson and also to the Scotters for their warm hospitality in beautiful glasgow,” he entered Tweet other.
A large contingent of Indian community members wearing colorful Indian clothes has gathered to say goodbye to him.
Modi played a drum along with members of the Indian community before his departure for India.
Modi attended the world leader summit to the 26th Conference of the Party (COP-26) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) at the invitation of his colleague Boris Johnson.
COP26 is being held from 31 October to 12 November under the British presidency that partnered with Italy for the event.
The last Prime Minister attended the COP-21 in Paris in 2015, when the Paris Agreement was concluded, and the implementation began this year.
Modi held many bilateral meetings on the SI.
Milling COP-26, billed as one of the largest congregations of world leaders and experts in combating climate change.
He arrived here from Rome where he participated in the 16th G-20 summit at the invitation of Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi from October 30-31.
Italy has held a G-20 presidency since December last year.
G-20 is a leading global forum that unites the world’s main economy.
The members accounted for more than 80 percent of Global GDP, 75 percent of global trade and 60 percent of the planet’s population.
Modi also held a series of bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the G20 KTT.
According to the External Ministry (MEA), India is scheduled to host the G-20 summit in 2023 for the first time.
It was the eighth MODI G-20 summit attended.
The G-20 has emerged as a global Premier forum for international economic cooperation.
During his visit, Prime Minister Modi also asked Pope Francis at the Vatican in their first one-to-one meeting.
Modi invited the head of the Catholic Church to visit India.
