ROME: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday interacts with world leaders, including US President Joe Biden, on the sidelines of the G20 summit, exchanging adases and showing off the spirit of Camaraderie.
In a series of photos tweeted by PMO India, Modi’s Prime Minister was seen meeting Biden, French President Emmanuel Macron, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Canada Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
“On the sidelines of the Roman Summit @ G20org, PM @Narendramodi interacts with various leaders,” PMO said in a tweet.
In the picture, Modi is seen walking with Biden in half arms, it seems to share a light chat.
Both leaders look happy to be in their respective companies.
Biden organized Modi in the White House on September 24 for their direct meetings.
In another photo, Modi looks embracing Macron and is involved in animated discussions with Trudeau and Johnson.
Previously, all world leaders participated in the G20 Summit, including Modi, gathered for “family photos”.
“World leaders meet in Rome for KTT @ G20org, an important multilateral forum for global good,” PMO said in another tweet.
Ahead of the visit of Modi Prime Minister to Rome, the Secretary of Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla said that the G20 remained a valuable forum for Indian involvement with a large economy in the world and to assign trends and norms of global economic recovery.
The Prime Minister will participate in the G20 Summit in Rome from October 30-31 at the invitation of Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi.
Italy has held the G20 President since December last year.
G20 is a leading global forum that unites the world’s main economy.
The members accounted for more than 80 percent of Global GDP, 75 percent of global trade and 60 percent of the planet’s population.
This forum has met every year since 1999 and includes, since 2008, the annual Summit, with the participation of each head of state and government.
The Roman summit will be attended by the Head of State and Government of G20 member countries, the European Union, and other countries invited and several international organizations.
The summit will be centered around the theme ‘people, planets, prosperity, focusing on the field of recovery from the pandemic and strengthening global health governance.
From Rome, Modi will travel to Glasgow on Sunday to attend the World Leader Summit Conference Conference 26 (COP-26) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
