New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday offers prayers at the Kejarnath temple in Uttarakhand.
After arriving at Kedarnath, the prime minister watched a brief documentary that detailed the reconstruction work was carried out at the Himalayan temple after the Great Flood of 2013 and then entered the Sanctum Sanctorum of the Shrine.

‘Review the improvement reviewed in Kedarnath from Delhi’speaking in Kedarnath, the Prime Minister praised the rebuilding efforts and said that he regularly reviewed projects from Delhi.
“After the destruction of 2013, ordinary people thought that Kedarnath could be rebuilt.
My inner voice always said that Kedarnath will stand with more pride than before,” said PM Modi.
“Despite the extreme weather conditions in Kedarnath, this development project has produced results because workers work tirelessly to help me achieve a mission to restore strength to this region,” he added.
PM Modi stressed that new development projects will increase the travel of worshipers by increasing facilities and safety measures to ensure that we are ready for future disasters.
“The combination of modernity with eternal on this primitive land is the result of the natural grace of Lord Shankar,” he said.
PM Modi launched the statue of Adi Teacher Shankaracharaya in Kedarnaththe Prime Minister launched a 12-foot Statue of Adi Teacher Shankaracharya in Samadhi who had been rebuilt by Seer in Kedarnath.
Working on the ShankaraCharya statue, weighing around 35 tons, has begun in 2019.

“Adi Teacher Shankaracharaya founded the Temple & Jyotirlingas by working throughout his life for our ‘Parma-Dharma’ development that reflects ‘Bhartiya & Bhartiyata’,” he added.
Prime Minister sat meditating at the foot of the statue for a while before walking in the kingdom to review the reconstruction work carried out over the past few years.
The Laid Foundation Stone of Reconstruction Projects is worth more than RS 400 Crore.Pm Modi also put the foundation stone of the five project reconstruction projects worth more than Rs 400 Crore on the Mandakini River.
These projects including Saraswati held the wall of Aasthapath and Ghats, Mandakini held the wall of Aasthapath, Tirth Purohit Houses and Garud Chatti Bridge on the River Mandakini.
“This is a lucky day to lay the base of not only new projects but open the development gateway for ‘Dev Bhoomi’ to maximize safety measures for worshipers,” said PM.
PM Modi further said that he could succeed in installing this development project in Kedarnath because his experience handled the earthquake in Kutch in 2001.
“I have witnessed the pain and the 2013 flood disaster and I felt lucky enough that we succeeded in establishing this development project in Kedarnath , “he said.
