New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed al Nahyan on Friday discussed regional development and agreed that there was no place for terrorism and extremism in the world, while emphasizing the importance of the international community that stands together with such strength.
Their discussion came in the midst of developments in Afghanistan, with the Taliban took over the country and America attracted its troops.
During their telephone conversation, the two leaders considered positively advancing in bilateral cooperation in various fields under the Komprehensive India-UAE strategic partnership, said the statement of the Prime Minister’s office (PMO).
Prime Minister Modi appreciated UAE’s support for the Indian community during the Covid-19 pandemic, and also delivered the best hope for the Expo-2020 which will be held in Dubai starting October 1, 2021, he said.

Both leaders discussed regional issues that were concerned together, PMO said.
