New Delhi: During a telephone conversation on Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Pham Minh Chinh in his appointment as Prime Minister Vietnam and expressed confidence that India-Vietnam’s comprehensive strategic strategic partnerships would continue to be stronger under the guidance.
According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s office, the two prime ministers reviewed the state of bilateral relations and shared their views on various cooperation areas.
Noting in 2022 marked a 50-year anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, they agreed to celebrate this favorable milestone in a variety of warning activities.
PM Modi welcomed the fact that the two countries shared a similar vision of the Indian Ocean region that was open and inclusive, peaceful and rules, and therefore India-Vietnam’s comprehensive strategic partnerships could contribute to promoting regional stability, prosperity and development.
In this context, the Prime Minister also noted that India and Vietnam are currently members of the UN Security Council.
PM Modi thanked PM Chinh for the valuable support provided by the Government and the Vietnamese community during the 2nd wave of Pandemic Covid-19 in India.
The leaders agreed that the two countries must continue consultation and cooperation to support each other’s sustainable efforts to the pandemic, the statement reads.
Prime Minister Modi also invited PM Chinh to make an official visit to India on a suitable starting date.
