KOLKATA:” Prime Minister Narendra Modi talked to BJP national vice president Mukul Roy on Thursday to talk about the health of his husband.
Roy’s spouse Krishna is undergoing therapy for Covid-19 in a private clinic .
“The prime minister talked to my dad over the telephone at 10.30 am and enquired about my mom’s health,” Roy’s son Subhrangshu told PTI.
Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Abhishek Banerjee paid a trip to Roy’s wife in the hospital Wednesday evening, whereas West Bengal BJP president Dilip Ghosh went a couple of hours after.
Even as Roy is recovering by Covid-19 in the house, Subhrangshu was current in the hospital once Banerjee visited.
The trip from Banerjee, the youth wing president of the TMC, came amid speculation on Roy’s second political movement.
Notably, Subhrangshu, an former TMC MLA who combined the BJP after his dad’s footsteps, lately said in a sociable networking article that you needs to perform self-introspection before criticising the authorities, that came to power using people’s help.
The article was thought to be led in the state BJP leadership.
Mukul Roy, the former lieutenant of Mamata Banerjee, abandoned the TMC over alleged discussions with the party’s top leadership on specific issues, such as differences with Abhishek, the nephew of the ministry.
