New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday spoke with Russian President Vladimir Putin and discussed the situation that applies in Afghanistan.
“During conversations, PM Modi and Putin recorded the importance of coordinated efforts that would contribute to the formation of peace and stability in Afghanistan, ensuring security in the region as a whole,” said the statement.
They expressed the intention to increase cooperation to fight the spread of terrorist ideology and threats from the Afghanistan region.
Approved to form a permanent bilateral channel for consultation on this issue.
