Guwahati: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday is called Minister Assam Minister Himanta Buswa Sarma to ask about the situation of flooding in the state and convincing all possible help.
“Adarniya Pradhan Mantri Narendra Modi called today to ask about the flood situation and convince all help to fight this threat.
The current flood has affected the livelihoods of people.

A total of 950 villages in 21 Assam Regency have been affected by flooding, revealing flood reporting and information management systems (FRIMS).
According to the FRIMS report released by the State Disaster Management Authority Assam (ASDMA) on August 30, as many as 950 villages in 21 Assam Regency which inhabited 3,63,135 people were affected by flooding in the state.
The report also revealed that 44 aid centers covering 16 assistance camps and 28 aid distribution centers were opened in the state to help flood victims.
1,619 people have sheltered in these assistance camps, the report said.
