Lucknow: Finance Minister Union Nirmala Sitharaman on Saturday praised the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to launch several women-centric schemes and give women’s priorities in several other schemes.
Sitharaman also appreciated the steps PM Modi introduce some women as union cabinet minister during the expansion recently.
He said there were 11 female ministers in the union cabinet.
Speaking at the launch of the Mission Up Shakti 3.0 program, the Minister of Finance Union commemorated: “Before coming to Delhi as Prime Minister in 2014, Modi Ji auctioned all the prizes he received as Gujarat CM and donated money for children’s education.” “As a person Gujarat minister leader, Modi Ji took several steps to empower women in the state.
He took some female centric decisions during his term as CM Gujarat, “he said.
“Is that the Ujjwala scheme, Jan Dhan scheme or Mudra scheme, women are given priority in several schemes launched by the center,” said Sitharam.
Speaking on the drive of Covid vaccination, he said: “Even some developed countries do not have vaccines.
They are looking for doses, but because of PM Modi’s efforts, we produce six vaccines in India.
We want to provide vaccines quickly to this country, especially vulnerable populations.
“Governor Uttar Pradesh Anandiben Patel and Chairman of the Yogi Adityanath Minister also attended the event.
