Rome: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the second session of the Rome G20 Summit about climate change and the environment on Sunday.
He is also expected to hold a bilateral meeting with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez and German Chancellor who came out Angela Merkel.
The first session of the Rome Summit G20 began on Saturday because world leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi gathered to discuss the global economy and health.
After concluding the first session of the G20 Summit, PM Modi, which was taken for Twitter said that the process on the G20 Summit was “spacious and productive”.
PM Modi also said that he highlighted aspects related to Indian contributions in the global battle against Covid-19, ‘one earth, health’ vision, advancing innovation in health care, the need for a strong global supply chain and leveraging technology for empowerment man .
He further stated that he participated in a bilateral meeting and also met with several leaders on the sidelines of the Summit Council.
Meanwhile, PM Modi will start the third day of this visit to Italy by visiting the famous Trevi Fountain in Rome.
One of the most known tourist monuments and tourist locations, the historic Trevi Fountain has attracted many filmmakers to IT who have popularized Baroque art-style monuments as a symbol of the romance.
The Prime Minister Modi will also attend the event organized by US President Joe Biden at the supply chain resilience on the sidelines of the G20 leader summit in Rome, Secretary of Foreign Affairs Harsh Vardhan Shringla said on Saturday.
On Saturday, PM Modi met Pope Francis.
PM was accompanied by the National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval and Minister of External Affairs (EAM) S Jaishankar.
The Prime Minister also invited Pope Francis to visit India during a “very warm” meeting in the Vatican City which lasted for one hour.
Prime Minister arrived in Italy on Friday to participate in the two-day G20 summit.
The G20 theme meets under the Italian presidency centered around ‘people, planets and prosperity.’
