New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi asked BJP parliamentarians on Tuesday to mark 75-year independence by organizing programs in each of their constituency villages, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs said Arjun Meghwal.
The source said the Prime Minister also asked the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to expose opposition parties because the government was ready for discussion but they did not.
Overcoming the meeting of the BJP Parliamentary Party, Modi said the 75th anniversary of independence should not only be a government program, but it must be the people’s movement with people’s participation, Meghwal told reporters after the meeting.
He asked BJP parliamentarians to form a team of two party workers in each assembly segment, which would regulate the program and look for suggestions and ideas from people about how they imagined India in 2047, when the state would complete 100 years of independence.
The prime minister told parliamentary members that the team of two BJP workers will visit 75 villages in each assembly constituency and spend 75 hours in each constituency, Meghwal said.
The independence of 75 years can also be celebrated by holding local sports events and drive cleaning, said Modi.
He also stressed on digital literacy of people in Indian countryside so they could take advantage of the maximum benefits of the government’s welfare scheme, the Minister said.
