Lucknow: Nine new medical colleges will be functional in Uttar Pradesh in a week with PM Narendra Modi inaugurated them at the official ceremony on July 9 with this, the total number of medical colleges in the state will increase to 48.
New medical colleges will appear on Deoria, Act, Fatehpur, Ghazipur, Hardoi, Jaunpur, Mirzapur, Pratapgarh and Siddharthnagar.
Officials in the Ministry of Medical Education said that four additional medical colleges will function at the end of the year.
About nine new medical colleges, officials said that the 70% selection of faculty members needed in this college has been resolved while the process remaining is underway.
They state that PM Modi will submit a letter of appointment to more than 450 members of this college staff.
Officials stated that 36 new medical universities were added to the state after March 2017, when Yogi Adityanath took over cm.
“There are only 12 medical colleges until March 2017.
But the BJP government announces to increase more medical colleges and ensure that countries do not have to travel to other countries for care,” said a spokesman.
