New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Uttar Pradesh on November 16, 2021, to inaugurate the Purvanchal toll road in Karwal Kheri in the Sultanpur district around 1:30 a.m.
This will be the longest operational toll road in India, overtaking Agra-Lucknow Expressway, which is 302 km long.
The prime minister is scheduled to arrive on the Hercules C-130J transport aircraft which will land on a 3.2 kilometer airway which was built on a stretch of Kurebhar from the access controlled by Greenfield Expressway in Sultanpur.
PM Modi tweeted on Monday to say that it will be “a special day for the Uttar Pradesh growth trajectory”.
“This project brings many benefits to economic and social progress up,” Prime Minister posted on Twitter along with four Purvanchal Expressway photos.
He will dedicate the project to people almost three years after putting the foundation on July 14, 2018, at Azamgarh.
Purvanchal Expressway Project was launched to spur development in the remote Uttar Pradesh region that has been left in infrastructure and industrialization.
With the development of this toll road, the eastern region of the state will also be connected to the National Capital of Delhi through Agra-Lucknow and Yamuna Expressways.
The toll road is a 6-lane width that can be expanded to 8-lane in the future.
It has been built with an estimated cost around Rs 22,500 Crore.
PM Modi will also discuss public meetings after inaugurating the Purvanchal toll road and watching air shows organized by the Indian Air Force (IAF).
Together with the C-130J Super Hercules, combat aircraft including Rafale, Mirage, Jaguar, Sukhoi, Kiran MK II and AN-32 are likely to participate in 45-minute air shows.
