New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi Will Participate in ‘Atmanirbhar Naristi Se Samvad’ (Interaction with Mandiri Woman) and spoke with a Swadaya group who was promoted under the Mission of Deendayal Anyodaya Yojana-National Rural Mission (Day-NRLM) on Thursday through the Conference Video.
The Prime Minister’s office (PMO) said the collection of Success Stories of Women Shg (Swadaya group) members from all over the country along with the handbook about the universalization of agricultural livelihoods will be released by Modi during the event.
He will also release capitalization support funds to the 1,625 crore Rs tone to more than four lakh shgs.
In addition, Modi will release Rs 25 Crore as seed money for 7,500 SHG members under PMFME (PM Formalization Enterprises Micro Food Processing) Schemes of the Ministry of Food Processing and Rs 4.13 Crore as funds for 75 FPOs (farmer manufacturer organizations) are promoted under the mission , PMO said.
It is said that the day-NRLM aims to mobilize rural poor households into the Swas-Help group gradually and give them long-term support to diversify their livelihoods, increase their income and quality of life.
Most of the mission intervention is being carried out and enhanced by SHG women themselves trained as Community Source Nara (CRPS), PMO said.
