New Delhi: The government is ready to mark the birthday of the birth of iconic tribe leader Bironic Munda, who led the rebellion against the UK, on Monday as “Janjiatya Gaurav Divas” with Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the celebration.
PM will take part in the main program in Bhopal to mark that opportunity, where more than two Lakh tribes are expected to join.
He will also launch the Museum of Birsa Munda Freedom in Ranchi.
On Monday, PM first of all will pay a flower wage in the statue of Birsa Munda in the parliament building and then virtually inaugurated the Birsa Munda Museum before leaving for Bhopal.
The Ministry of Tribal Affairs has sanctioned 10 tribal freedom fighters to be established in various parts of the country.
In addition to highlighting the life story of Birsa Munda, the museum in Ranchi also has a statue of 13 tribal freedom fighters, and it will have a light and sound performance for visitors.
Union cabinet earlier this week decided to observe November 15 as a day dedicated to tribal freedom fighters when India prepares to celebrate 75 years of independence.
Tribal Affairs Army Arjun Munda said a large number of national programs and state countries will be held throughout the week until November 22 to build awareness about the role of tribal freedom fighters.
“This will be for the first time the program will be held on a large scale to pay tribute to the tribal freedom fighters who have become a no-sign of freedom of fighting until now,” said Munda.
The minister said more than 85 movement of pre-independence tribes and more than 200 tribal leaders had been identified and their contribution was compiled.
