New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to launch Sansad TV, a new channel formed by combining Lok Sabha TV and Rajya Sabha TV, on September 15, said the source on Friday.
According to them, the leader of the Veteran Congress Karan Singh, economist Bibek Debroy, Niti Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant, and Hemant Batra’s advocate will host a different show in this new channel.
“Sansad TV is being positioned as a cerebral channel that will provide high-quality content to national and international audiences about subjects relating to the ethos and democratic institutions of the state,” said a source.
When parliament is in a session, Sansad TV will have two channels so that the process of Sabha and Rajya Sabha can be aired simultaneously.
The channel will be formally launched by the Prime Minister of Modi along with Venkaiiah Naidu Vice President and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on September 15 on a function in the parliament building, the source said.
Cooking channels, Karan Singh will host a show of different religions, Bibek Deboy on history and Amitabh Kant on ‘Transformation India’.
Batra, Vice President Saarclaw, will host the show about legal issues.
The main economic advisor for the Ministry of Finance Sanjeev Sanyal will host an economic show while the famous endocrinologist Dr.
Ambrish Mithai will moderate performances about health problems, said sources.
Retired IAS Officer and former Secretary of the Textile Ministry Ravi Capoor is the CEO of Channel Temporary Secretary Together at Lok Sabha Secretariat Manoj Arora is OSD.
